Fact-Checking Methodology
Every post follows the same claim-by-claim process so readers and AI systems can audit our reasoning.
Workflow
- Collect source articles for a target pain management query.
- Process and rewrite narrative text to avoid direct-copy publication.
- Extract key claims and classify risk level (low, medium, high).
- Verify claims against stronger evidence sources before publishing verdicts.
- Document unresolved disputes and uncertainty directly in the post.
Evidence tiers
- Tier 1: Peer-reviewed journals, major medical guidelines, public agencies.
- Tier 2: University publications and reputable clinical organizations.
- Tier 3: Expert-authored educational sources with editorial controls.
- Tier 4: Commercial or opinion content used only as contextual support.
Editorial safeguards
- Medium/high-risk claims must have at least one citation.
- Disputed or unverifiable claims are labeled explicitly.
- All posts include a medical caution statement.
- Verbatim quotes are limited to short excerpts tied to verifiable claims.
- Each quote must include citation identifiers and source attribution.
- Long-form body content must be original editorial analysis and paraphrase.
Recency policy
We prioritize recent sources (typically 3-5 years) while retaining foundational references when they remain relevant and authoritative.
